Audience Feedback

When pitching our idea we recieved feedback, here is the feedback we recieved:

- The music video is well thought out, I find the storyline interesting and think that it appropriately suits the genre music that you have chosen.

- I like the elements of your idea, for instance my favourite is the notion that the colour is black and white when we see shots of the lifeless workers.

- There is not much improvements that I would suggest for this idea, as long as it is effectively done, I think it could be a great success.

- The Go-Pro shots and the opening shot of the character flipping over the camera are my favourite elements of your idea, I think that if it is done in slow motion in time to the music, it could look really great.

- I think that you need to find more realistic locations that will also make the video look good on camera with the genre of the music.

- In my opinion, the third person Go-Pro shots and the black and white shots that fade into colour are the best ideas within the music video idea.

- I think if you could use locations from the construction site and some at school (of course making it look less like a school and more like offices or something), getting a lot of establishing shots, then it could be really successful.

- I mostly like the idea about the protagonist touching these 'dull people' and bringing the to life whilst the screen changes from black and white, into colour, which clearly demonstrates that their mood has altered.

- It would be much better if you were able to find a better location than the school, preferably somewhere in office blocks?

When showing our digipak and poster flat plans we received the following feedback:

-The poster looks too much like a film poster rather than a music artist poster, so perhaps if it was portrait rather than landscape it could make it better, also the reviews and text that is on their also makes it seem as though it is for a movie. The font is also quite random and 'scruffy' looking so it would be best to change that too, perhaps making it look similar and reflect a bit more on the music genre.

- For the digipak, it would be better if the fist could be a different colour rather than red. Red seems too aggressive and like something that you'd associate with a punk kind of rock genre. Perhaps it would be better to make it seem more dance by changing it to quite a bright colour such as green or yellow?

-I like the way in which the whole theme of this music kind of rebellion occurs throughout the whole idea and the digipak, perhaps if it could be incorporated somehow into the poster aswell that would be better, also the main logo of the fist holding the AUX cord should also perhaphs be put into the poster.

-The poster has images of people free running and backflipping etc, so perhaps put images of the free runner in the digipak, or an outline or shadowed figure of someone free running, just so that the same theme runs throughout.

-Think of a name for the artist, because at the moment, the text on the digipak looks neatly placed, however I do not see any room for the artists name anywhere.

-Maybe you could try experimenting with the colours, for example switching around which colour is which, in the new draft the fist is white, perhaps instead you could make it green, make the aux cord black, the background of the diamond black and the cover white, with black bold text, or just experiment with different ways to make the colours look good together.

-(For the draft) It may fit your genre better if you could add some sort of shapes in there, for example how Avicii have their two triangles, maybe you could place a diamond around the fist?

We received much similar feedback, with the same re-occurring points that spoke about making the poster look less like a film poster, and about changing the colour of the fist and perhaps the background of the wall on the back cover as it seems quite random in comparison to the colour scheme that is going on throughout the digipak.
